Dear Kinley family,
I am so sorry, I only recently heard of Rick's passing.
We were on the wrestling team together and shared many memorable times in high school, including a couple of great road trips.
Even though I hadn't seen or spoke to "Ricky" in years; I often thought of him as an inspiration. My memories of his courage and cheerfulness in the midst of pain and struggle have raised my spirits innumerable times over the years. They will continue to do so.

Rick and I worked together at Charlie Riedel's in the late 80s. He was a nice guy, except during the Friday fish rush and when I told him he looked like John Denver - LOL. He was such a fighter of his disease, and I'm sorry it overcame him at such a young age. My condolences to his family.

Dear Amy,
May the peace of Christ, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I pray even amidst the pain and numbness that you will find consolation in our savior Jesus Christ, who rose from the dead and said, " I go to prepare a place for you, so that where I am, you may also be." I am so sorry about your loss and promise to carry you in my prayers to Jesus. I will ask our spiritual Mother Mary, Mother of Sorrows, who wept at the foot of the cross, to weep with you and console you in your grief. I also know your guardian angel will pray for you as well. Your friend, in Christ, Dominic Salamida

Amy and family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. I knew Rick for years from Charlie's and then from the restaurant (we had wonderful Kiwanis meetings there!) He was always a gracious host and just an all around nice guy. He will be missed by many.

Dear Amy and Family,
My heart grieves with you and your family over Rick's passing. Although you did not know me personally, I have many great memories of Rick throughout the years. He was a fun, caring, free-spirited person who shared his outward love of life with others. I first met Rick in the late 60's as a young child seeing him flipping burgers at the Kinley's family restaurant at the intersection of State and Plank Rds., which later became the Landmark. I was thrilled that he asked me to help him! My father knew his father through the Webster Wildcats and we stopped there on occasion. We played several years of Pop Warner Football for the Wildcats, wrestled for Jack Yengo at Thomas High School and had a bunch of good times together during and after high school. I had the opportunity this past fall to chat with him at Klem's Garage and catch up a bit. I will always remember Rick as a man with endless courage, perseverence and a great sense of humor. You are all in my prayers. Sincerely,
Todd Dappen Sr.

I am so very sad to learn of Rick's death. We spent a lot of time together trying to grow up. I am lost in all the memories of the happiness he brought into my life as I write this. I know how very proud he was of his family and how much he loved his family and his many, many friends. I admired his spirit, his capacity to love and his ability to deal with whatever life threw his way. He will always hold a special place in my heart.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
