He is my uncle. Although we lived many miles apart I will always cherish the times he came to visit. His devotion to his country is unmatched. He is the epitome of a solider . We hold great admiration for his service to his country and family. May you rest in peace as you watch over your sister Ruth who needs you right now and all if us.

Sarge -- Super Bowl parties of the future will not be as funny and as happy without your antics and jokes -- your friendship and hunting/fishing companions will never be able to go on an outing without thoughts of your stories and recipes at hand....All our Love to Ellie and the Family

I called him 'Uncle Rick' a lot... because he was Uncle to our kids, but also because I didn't have an uncle like him... and wished I did. Thanks 'Uncle Rick'.

Sarge, or Uncle Rick to me, had a way of making you laugh at things you were astonished to find yourself laughing at. I have such vivid memories of when he and Eleanor graciously allowed me into their home for the holidays when I was going to Syracuse, and the many good times I had visiting they home as a young boy. My heart is with his wonderful family. Love to all of you.
