William Rivera Obituary

William Charles Rivera

Rochester - It is with great sadness that the family of William Charles Rivera, known to friends and family as Bill, passed away after a long battle with multiple sclerosis on Monday, June 11, 2018, at the age of 63.

Predeceased by his dad, JW Peevey.

Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children, Michael (Amber), Jackie (Matt), and Stefanie (Ryan). Bill will also be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren who called him "Papi", Jenna, Tristan, Avery, Madison, Kaitlyn, Lily, Alanna, and Autumn, by his brothers and sisters, Sandra (Don), Hugh, Tim (Cathy), Cindy (Wade), John (Natalie), Wendy, and his many nephews and nieces. Bill is survived by his mother Carolyn Peevey.

Bill came from a hard working family and was proud to move his way up at Vanderstyne Ford where he worked for 20 years, from being a mechanic all the way to General Manager. He was especially proud when he earned the opportunity to own and operate his own Ford Dealership in Oswego, NY, "Route 104 Ford/Mercury."

Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Bill to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Memorial service will be held at the family's convenience.

Bill and I hung out freshman and sophomore years at Monroe High School. Played backyard football and basketball on Sycamore St and worked together in the housekeeping department at Highland Hospital briefly. A good and gentle man.

RIP Bill.
