Randy David Resch
March 29, 1959 - December 14, 2023
SCIO - Randy was born March 29, 1959 in Libby, Montana. He attended Plummer Elementary and Libby Jr high school before moving to Scio in 1973, and attended Scio high school.
He was a hard worker that included working in oil fields in Montana and various jobs in Oregon. After his disabling accident at the papermill in Albany, he retired and returned to Scio.
He is survived by his wife Judee, son Greg (Tree) Resch, daughter Destiny (Kevin) Imel and 3 grandchildren Betsey, Nathan, and Daisy. Sisters Ruth Hellen, Diane Mellem, Roxanne Griner, brothers Chuck (Sue), John (Yvonnne), Greg (Barb), Joe (Kim) and Steve (Colleen) Resch. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his mother Ellen Orr Resch Dryden, fathers Steve Resch Sr., and Glenn Dryden, and brother Casey Resch.
Randy enjoyed playing golf, and pool, honing his advanced horticultural skills and learning about history.
His family and friends meant the world to him. He was the light in the room. He was a simple, gentle, sweet man, easy to love who brought a smile to everyone's face.
Randy was always glad to see you, accepting of everyone, and always appreciative. Spending time with family and friends was his priority, he loved working on projects with his brothers, and enjoyed life.
Randy was creative, eccentric, a wonderful storyteller and an entertainer, as well as an olympic tumbler.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 11 am at Salem First Christian Church, 685 Marion Street NE, in Salem.
His Celebration of Life will follow with a potluck at ZCBJ Hall in Scio at 4 pm.

I was so blessed to have so many uncles and aunties but Uncle Randy was truly one of a kind. I´ll miss your laugh and how you would light up a room. Im so thankful I have the best stories and memories of you, thank you for always being there for me. Love you forever

Randy was always the kindest soul in the room. He never had a bad word about anyone, and I've never heard a bad word about him. He was so much fun to be around. We were always smiling. God bless you, friend.
