Ashley Dattalo Obituary

Ashley Denise Dattalo

Ashley Denise Dattalo, a beautiful gentle soul and a friend to so many, passed away at the young age of 26, on March 5, 2022 in Denton, Texas. She lived in Corinth, Texas. On June 25, 1995 she was welcomed to this world by Scott and Lidia Dattalo.

Ashley attended CalPoly in San Luis Obispo where she received her Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Ashley was a loving and compassionate person. She had a beautiful smile and radiating green eyes that could light up your soul.

Ashley had a passion for the outdoors and athletics. As a child she excelled at soccer and track and as a young adult at Cal Poly she ran half marathons and hiked the verdant hills nestling San Luis Obispo. It was in the surrounding beauty of her college countryside where she nurtured a spiritual connection to nature and often watched the sunrise from the mountain tops. She sought meaning beyond the material, and pondered life and purpose. With lighthearted enthusiasm she would close her eyes and throw her arms to the skies and let nature flow through her soul. Forever one with the universe.

The relationship she had with her younger sister and best friend, Amanda Dattalo, was rare. Whether snuggling to watch movies or just hanging out together, they had a special connection.

Ashley enjoyed spending time and playing cards with her brother, sister and Mom. She enjoyed watching the moon, sunset and swimming at the lake. She loved the beach.

She discovered her passion and natural ability for art and loved to paint.

Ashley prayed to God with one of her groups on a regular basis. She led the group in singing Amazing Grace.

She is survived by her mother and father, sister, Amanda Dattalo of Corvallis, Oregon, and brother, Shawn Dattalo of Corinth, Tx..

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Irving Bible Church at 2435 Kinwest Parkway in Irving, Texas on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11 am.

It is crazy how certain people are put in your life for different reasons. So many questions of why Ashley was in my life for such a short time. Ashley was such a kind and sweet soul. So creative, artistic and smart. She was beautiful inside and out. She had a caring spirit and a beautiful smile. Even though she was only on this planet for a short time, she made a huge impact in my life and others in my community. I wish I could have gotten to know her longer. Praying for Ashley’s family through this hard time. May you Rest In Peace sweet friend ❤

Ashley was such a support throughout our college CS program and our summer internship in Washington. She was always there to talk through big decisions and join me for whatever event I was scheming to go to. You'll be missed Ashley

Literally came to school every day with a smile and I am so thankful to have had her as my running buddy in high school.
I have so many pictures from all of our adventures but this happens to be one of my favorite. I am at a loss for words, but Ashely was so loved and I am heartbroken.

Ashley was given a big task at our school and it excited her! She took an empty room and made it into our Tech Lab, which allowed many of our students to learn 3D design and computer science from her. Her students would tell you that she was a great teacher and made them feel welcomed in the space she had created. Ashley's beautiful smile could light up a room and her sweet, gentle voice was one that reached us all when she would speak. Ashley will forever be a missing piece of our Fusion Academy Plano family. Our hearts are broken, yet we know that she suffers no longer. Prayers to the family during this time as they search for peace and comfort. Cindi, Head of School

A beautiful sweet girl who always had a great smile on her face. Ashley and I along with our soccer team played years together known as the "SUPERSTARS". So many memories with Scott her father running practice and drills with us. Ashley was a great friend, teammate, and always had the best sportsmanship always on and off the field. I meet her when I was 10 years old. YOU will be missed.

Ashley was my math teacher at Fusion academy. She was a great teacher and I really enjoyed being in her class. Because she taught me at a one on one teaching school, I developed a good relationship with her. She helped me a lot in math and it always put a smile on my face when she would listen to music and sing during class. In the obituary it was mentioned that Ashley led the singing of amazing grace with her church group. She sang that sometimes too.
I will pray for healing in your hearts and I hope you find God’s comfort in this difficult time.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. -Matthew 5.4

Ashley and I loved to go on adventures and explore when we were together. It was always to natural to pick back up where we left off when we reunited. And it was easy to be goofy around one another and laugh a lot. You're forever in my heart. Until we meet again, Ashley.
