We love Charlie and will miss him so much. We will always remember his tender heart, sweet smile and joyful spirit. We will think of him when we see his empty chair (front row, first seat) in Bible Class, but know he has his eternal chair in heaven. So thankful we will see him and celebrate with him again. Praying for Joe and family. Kay and Joe Adamson

Charlie, a gentle giant of a man, was such a pleasure to be around. Our Cole-Miller family holiday gatherings were a favorite tradition for more than 40 years. If there were a Pictionary Hall of Fame, Charlie would certainly be a candidate for induction. Let’s say he might not have been technically the best player, but he was by far the funniest and most entertaining of the group in action. Marilyn and I send our prayers and best wishes to Fonzeal and the whole Cole family. We will always have smiles on our faces and the fondest memories when thinking of Charlie. RIP Charlie.

Charlie welcomed me to the family with open arms and immediately allowed me to call him Gran. I fondly remember sitting on the couch with Charlie and Fonzeal telling stories from their life and being sweet to each other. I saw him as a grandfather-figure, as he would hold my hand while giving wisdom and insight. My condolences to the Cole family.

Charlie invited me to sit with him and Joe in the front row of Wednesday morning Bible study several years ago. We have stayed in Bible study classes together ever since. Charlie showed the love of Christ to me anyone he interacted with. I'll miss him dearly but I'll see him soon.

Truly a great American who made this world a better place. I knew him professionally and personally and he was a man of dignity and integrity. I will always cherish how he helped me navigate my own father's personal battle with Parkinson's disease and subsequent death. I know that Jesus has told Charlie "well done faithful servant!"

Charlie was my 3rd cousin. We shared 2nd great grandparents, George Cole and Martha Baker. When ever I had a genealogy question for Charlie, he would stop what he was doing and answer my e-mail. I will forever be grateful for his unconditional kindness. Rest in Peace Charlie. I'll meet you in Heaven some day. Much Love, Cousin Nancy
