Margaret Crouch Obituary

Margaret Rose Crouch, a remarkable individual who lived life to the fullest, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023, at the age of 90. Born on February 25, 1933, in Ft. Worth, TX, Margaret's journey was one of extraordinary adventures and unwavering commitment to her community.

Growing up on the North Texas Ayrshire Dairy Farm in Denton, Texas, owned by her parents, Raymond and Rebel Crouch, Margaret developed a deep connection to her roots. She is survived by her loving children, Stephen McKinzie and wife Rocky McKinzie of Erath County, and Sandra Lynne McKinzie and husband Mark Stewart of Cedar Hill, TX.

Margaret's heart was forever tied to Denton, TX, affectionately known as "Dynamic Denton." She was a vibrant soul who lived life with boundless enthusiasm and an indomitable spirit.

In her lifetime, Margaret wore many hats. She was a volunteer police patroller, a civil servant, and a politician. Her passion for travel and exploring the world with her family, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren was unparalleled.

Margaret's infectious smile, quick wit, and charismatic personality endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a true Texas trailblazer, imparting valuable life lessons to those around her-lessons of love, loyalty, courage, and the importance of simple gestures like waving at passing trucks and greeting everyone with a warm hello.

Margaret's dedication to Denton County in the 1970s-80s was notable, as she served as a social worker through Denton City-County Medical Services, eventually rising to the position of Administrator at the Denton County Health Department. Her adventures included driving her recreational vehicle across the US, riding motorcycles under the alias "Margo Fury" and completing the A&M Forest Service Program for heavy equipment. In her 80s, she graduated from the Denton Citizen Police Academy, a testament to her unwavering curiosity and commitment.

Margaret was a passionate advocate for Governor Ann Richards, embodying the values of strong leadership and public service.

Margaret Rose Crouch, or "Margo Fury" as she was known on her motorcycle adventures, was a true "you do you" lady, living life authentically and unapologetically. She embraced every moment and left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.

Margaret will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton, Texas, where her spirit will forever reside.
