I just found out about Andrew's passing through a a State of Colorado Zero Emission Vehicle working group conference call (I'm working on our proposed ZEV Rule).
I never worked directly for or with him, but I always appreciated Andrew's great vision & foresight. I remember being impressed to learn in the early 2000s that he owned the Hydrogen.com domain, and wonder if he was just a little too far ahead of his time ... ?
I hope to hear more about whatever memorial service you hold for him. In the meantime I wish his loved ones All the Best as they carry on.
Thanks and R.I.P., Andrew . . . PvH

At Hotchkiss I remember Andrew showing me how to paint leaves just by fanning my paintbrush. This simple gesture has stayed with me as an example of how to teach with kindness and grace.

I have not known what to say for weeks after hearing of the passing of you, dear friend. It was as if a star blinked out.
A luminous creative and compassionate intelligence for our generation. It was your passionate life force that pulled me out of the muck long ago. And I am certain your kind reach helped many people. At 17, it was the isolation of being born ahead of your time that was confusing. And we still need you! Will you slip in now and then and spark up the day, gifting humor and guidance for those of us who are listening? I hope so . . . May you find peace in your passage, Andrew Webster Bermingham.
Holding your family close at heart.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.

I shared three years at Hotchkiss with Berm and he was always the guy with the smile and the right thing to say to pick you up on a bad day. His art even then, was a level above anything I thought a high school kid was capable of. I still have a few of his doodles.
Years later we reconnected through business and then later through cycling. The last time I saw him was at the end of the Triple Bypass ride in Colorado - a totally random meeting as I flew in from CT. He was the same old Berm, beaming and slapped a huge hug on me. That's how I'm going to remember him.

I met Andrew in the Park Hill Peleton (PhP) riding group. Friendly, energetic, brilliant. I am deeply saddened for this loss. He was a gifted and bright star, which too often unfortunately comes with a cost of depression.
Please know that people that rode with Andrew felt him, connected with him, and enjoyed him thoroughly.

My heart weeps to hear of this loss. Knowing Andy at Hkiss and Midd on the ice and in art class was a privilege. We share the same birthday.
Seeing him at reunions was always a treat. My sincerest condolences to you dear Wendy and boys. May the love of family and friends give you strength and peace. RIP Andy B.

I've known Andrew for maybe 5 years. We met through the Park Hill Peloton riding group. Andrew was undoubtedly one of the first and friendliest people who introduced themselves to me (an intimidated newbie rider in a fast group). Andrew was genuinely interested in what made other people tick. During our many conversations, I was impressed by his intellect and perspectives. Count me amazed when I found out (at the opening of his BOLDI store) that he was also an extremely talented artist.

I met Andrew over 25 years ago in graduate school at the Colorado School of Mines. He stood out ... he was on a mission. We became fast friends.
Andrew's passion and thirst for knowledge set him on a course to make it his life long mission to change the attitude and behaviour of humankind to pave the way for a cleaner energy future ... Montreux-Energy became that platform.
We lost touch with each other over the years, but I often reflect on our conversations about the ills of mankind. Andrew's notion of humanity was unwavering it was singular ... "You cannot hope to build a better world without making life better for the individuals".
RIP Andrew ... Honorary member - "The Club of Rome".
My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

Dear Berm:
You will always be an American Legend and the essence of the true multifarious "Renaissance Man": entrepreneur, stand-up comic, hydrogen expert, social and media coordinator, sculptor and painter, inventor, photographer and filmmaker extraordinaire, civic leader, devoted husband and father, scene-stealing techie character in the goofy "The Devil's Brigade", and driven athlete--cyclist, skier, and tennis player. Oh, and did I forget outrageously gifted raconteur, unparalleled rapscallion-in-naughtiness-and-fun-loving-debauchery, and close friend who always lit up a room with that devilish gleam in your eyes and Dennis-the-Menace smile?
Rest in Peace and We love You. There will always be one and only one Berm, Bermolito, and Andy B on earth and in the heavens.
You are making us cry now but you always made us laugh so hard it split our sides, just like your predecessors Peter Sellers, Austin Powers, and Robin Williams.
Take care and Go Left on Walsh's at Ajax Forever!
Yeah, Baby! Grrr!

Such a larger-than-life man. Whenever we would run into each other he always had a big smile and a warm way in greeting. Conversations were upbeat. He had such a curious and intuitive mind. I am very sorry for your loss.

When we first met 25+ years ago, Andrew's natural charm, curiosity and humor won me over and an enduring friendship developed. I loved him as a friend, respected him as a business colleague and admired him as a person. He was terribly clever, multi-talented and good at everything he did. In business, he was a consummate entrepreneur, brimming with creativity and enthusiasm for whatever he was doing! He was also kind-hearted, warm and genuine, and a thoughtful friend.
Andrew was a star. He has always had a special place in my heart and always will. Please accept my sincerest condolences. He will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.
