C. Garnett Obituary

Garnett, C. Brodie
03/13/1946 - 03/11/2022

Charles "Brodie" Garnett was born on March 13, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Erna Ann and Howard Charles Garnett. He passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022 from a short illness.
He was a loyal son, a protective brother, a loving husband, a hard worker, a generous father, a faithful friend, a Corvette enthusiast, and a patriotic American. He was truly unique! He loved talking to people, hearing their stories, and making people laugh. His dry sense of humor caught more than one unsuspecting listener off guard.
All who knew him called him Brod, Brodie, or the Brodster. He was a car man…a Corvette car man. Boy, did he love his cars! He owned 9 of them in his lifetime, and loved every single one of them. They were his "pride & joy". Brodie graduated from Wheat Ridge High School in 1964, and went on to Colorado State University where he graduated from there with a BS degree in 1968. He was a certified real estate broker and appraiser who worked in his family's business after graduation from college. In 1988, he established his own business Appraisals Unlimited from which he retired in 2014.
Brodie is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherron, son Brandon and daughter-in-law Lita, step-granddaughter Morgan, sister and brother-in-law Joan and Jack Moores, brother-in-law, Roscoe Lister and 3 nephews, John and David Lister and Andrew Moores. Brodie is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Lynn and his son Christopher Brodie.

A private Celebration of Life will be held for family and close friends in April. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Charles Brodie Garnett's name to: YMCA of the Rockies, Snow Mountain Ranch, 9 Cares Colorado Shares, or Best Friends Sanctuary, Kanab, UT 84741

I just learned of this terrible news on Christmas day 2023 from my sister Colleen. Linda passed away in February of 2019 so I can imagine what you are going through. I send my deepest sympathies and hope that you are finding a way towards your new life while dealing with grief for your loss. Colin Case

Brodie was my roommate at CSU when we were freshmen, and we later shared an apartment, as sophomores. Brod and Sheron and Pat and I double dated for two years and really enjoyed each other´s company. Indeed, BRODIE loved his Chevys, whether they were Corvettes or hid Corvair Spider Monza.
Some favorite times were dancing and drinking beer at the Red Garter or Bees ! Sure do miss you Brod, sorry to have fallen out of touch in recent years. Rick and Pat.

I knew Brodie and his family in the 1950's. We were in the Scouts together and I visited his home many times. A beautiful home on King's Point on the boundary of Lakewood and Wheat Ridge. I was looking for his name and discovered he has passed. Brodie was one of my best friends in my youth. He was one of a kind, the best person anyone could ever imagine. My heart aches. I was born March 19,1946 a few days after Brodie. I last saw him on his birthday in 1966.

Sincere condolences to the family, and many friends, of Brodie Garnett. He was simply one-of-a kind, and a remarkable man. Gifted in his ability to communicate, show his genuine concern and appreciation of others, and be an amazing friend. His wonderful sense of humor was unmatched. He will always occupy a special place in my heart and memories.
