Bill, Dan and the whole Ficke and Bury Families:
Our deepest thougths and prayers are with all of you. JoAnn was like a second mother to me and accepted my wife, Melanie, and I as part of her family. We will never forget that. I will truly miss her more than words can express. God Bless you and thank you for being the purest person that I have ever known.

I am an old Army buddy of Don's. He took me to his home, from Ft. Devens, to meet the wonderful folks of Roscoe, NY. The lovely mountains, the Beaverkill, THE ANTRIM, Les, Mrs. Loughrey, Bill & Joann, and many others I cannot remember. I remember mostly how gracious "they'all" were to a "southern boy". From the entries I have read, many of you experienced what was only a breif snapshot for me. A very gracious couple full of life and sharing. My heart felt sympathy and condolences to all of you in the loss of this wonderful lady, friend & wife. You are in my prayers. Proverbs 31 10-31

We now have our own personal guardian angel in heaven watching over us. What a truly incredible lady! Valentines Day will now remind us of JoAnn and her unconditional love. There is not enough room here to express how much she meant to us. I am sure that JoAnn felt blessed to have been embraced by such a loving family. You were with her every step of the way and she gave it everything she had. We will miss her dearly. God Bless You All.

I am so very sorry to hear of Joann's passing. She was a gem of a person who I was fortunate enough to come to know in the mid-90's when we worked together for a year on a special project team. She was a wonderful person, always with a kind word for everyone with whom she came into contact. She cherished her family, about whom she spoke constantly--she always told us about what Danny was up to. I will miss her very much-- May God Bless and keep her.

Big and Dan, Betsy, Doug and Mellie,
May God bless the soul of Joann, one of the finest people ever to walk on this earth. A person who always cared more for her family and friends than she did herself. A lady of class, with a heart of love and caring.

As you miss her, know in your hearts that those of us who have had the honor to call her a friend will miss her as well.

JoAnn cared about everyone. She always asked how your family was doing before she spoke about hers. The love she had for her family was immeasurable. When she talked about Dan and Bill her eyes lit up. They were her pride and joy. I can't thank her enough for all of the advice she gave me and how much she cared about my four brothers. She will be sorely missed as she was one of the great ones. Godspeed JoAnn, we know you'll watch over Dan and Bill and will be forever in our hearts.
