Passing through the Denver airport I thought of Jack and his familiar airport joke - don´t say `Hi Jack´ in the airport. This prompted a text to his old phone and a Google search to find this sad news.
My uncle and I shared a few days with Jack after we purchased a Cherokee plane from him and thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day flight together.
My favourite story of our trip was Jack asking calgary´s controllers to explain a Gulfstreams position (while we were approaching in our little Cherokee). Once clarified and visual Jack keyed the Mike and in his best form thanked the Calgary controllers as he didn´t want to "chew him up". Still smile at the memories of our brief time together.
To the family, I´m so sorry for your loss and my delayed response.
I´ll post of a pic of the old 65 Cherokee as it flew into our ice runway fly in about 100 miles north of Calgary in February of 2024.

Jack was one of the good guys. We shared a house while flying out of Great Falls one spring, had a lot of fun. Good old Frontier. Miss you Jack. Bob

Jack was a fine man and a loyal friend. I never remember seeing Jack when he wasn't smiling. I miss him already.
