Mark Griswold Obituary

Mark passed away on January 28 at home after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Preble, NY to Virginia and Hubert. He earned his B.S. in Geology from SUNY Binghamton '74 and a M.Sc. in Geology from Colorado State University '77. In 1978 he married his college sweetheart and moved to Colorado. He had an early career in mineral exploration. Later he switched to project mgmt. and led a diverse range of environmental projects. He was a lifelong advocate of conservation, clean energy, and alt. transportation. He loved hiking, biking, skiing, travel, beer, music, family, friends, and most of all, the mountains. He is survived by his mother, wife, children, and grandson. Services are planned for the last week of April and donations can be made in his honor to the Colorado Neurological Institute, www.thecni.org.

I worked on many projects with Mark. In addition to being a good colleague, he was a friend. I was so very sorry to hear about his illness and his passing. I send my sincere condolences to his family.

Mark was one of the "old-timers" at Tetra Tech like me, and, although I didn't have the honor of working with him that much, I recognized him as an outstanding team player and a highly respected colleague. He was a good man! My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
