Mike had a good, generous heart. This was never more apparent than at the annual back yard Easter egg hunt. Much forethought went into it. The eggs were color coordinated. Each grandchild had a color of eggs to look for in the nooks and crannies of the back yard. One year, Mike even hid eggs for the adults with a sheet of clues in the form of riddles. Valerie and I found our egg in the hollow of the boat hitch... a reference to our "finally" getting hitched after years of companionship. Standing on the lawn, hearing the sounds of family joy, made me feel life was good. Thank you, Mike, for Easter Sundays and your friendship. I will miss you.

Sorry for your loss. Mike was a great person and leaders. It was always fun taking the boys to Camp Alexander. Bonnie Harris and I never knew what prank Mike and fellow Commissioners were going to play on us. One year it was popcorn just out of our campsite view to bring the raccoon. His smile will be missed. Prayers with you.

Mike always had a warm and caring word for all. You could always count on a laugh with his sense of humor.
May he rest well in God's arms.
