Hmmm...Here we are, seven years later. Still intertwined, like most could never understand.
Our life was so exclusive, private, beyond explanation.
We planned and were committed to a lifetime together, not knowing yours would be cut short.
But here I am...always & forever committed to my lifetime with you.
It took me a number of years to reconcile for you to go first, paving the way; that is who you were to everyone you held close to your heart...being a leader, mentor, forging ahead.
Everyone went on with their lives, better off for being blessed to have known you.
Here I am, and today is as real as seven years ago.
You were then as now...my heart, my life, but I'm still here living...just now without you here.
Like always, only you can understand our connection, my love & devotion, and how time and space are irrelevant.
In your memory, I hope my words inspire, reaffirm others' hearts...to those who need to hear-experience-learn from a "Shubic" message. The essence of you, to all who mattered to you.
Always leaving things, people are better off...
That is it...no greater salutations, grand closing sincerity.
We never needed or used those prompts.
Then, now, and forever...
"I Promise...", as you did to me

Time is so irrelevant without you...5 days, months, now year's, it still feels like yesterday. Time doesn't heal...one just adapts to the imbalance. With all my love, heart, your the other half of me, my soul mate.

They say “Time heals all things” however, not for the loss of you; specifically, for me, and “your beloved family members”.
Two years ago, we planned/booked our trip to Hawaii for the Christmas holidayour “surviving chemo”, “pipe-dream” trip we both knew would not come to fruition...but, what a happy conversation it was.
You are just as real now, as you were thenand every moment before cancer.
I held you in my arms, handswhen you took your last breaththe best part of my soul escaped me, the most necessary part of my emotional-physical heart stopped beating and was ripped awayyou took me with you.
As your so called “Souls-mate”, you exist in my every heartbeat, breath, being and inspirations without you.
Only those you absolutely loved and held you so close in return; know and can understand my emotions and mere words.
Our vows to one another beyond space & time “I Promise”

I just heard of Mike's passing from Steve Roark the other day. I had no idea. Mike was one of my all timefavorite casino executives. We worked together on assignments over the years. I placed him with Mr. Jacobs company years and years ago and he so loved Colorado. He never called me by my name Jean just my last name...........I would answer the phone seeing the 303 area code and on the other end I would hear "Hey Regan, what's going on. How are your Red Sox doing". What a great great man.

It was always a pleasure seeing Mike at the Continental Presidents Club when he was leaving on a trip. We would talk about the destination and always talk about our fishing trips. We both liked fishing so we made an immediate connection. That connection lasted over 15 years. I remember when he told me of his diagnosis and I just cried. What a terrible loss, I will miss him and always treasure our friendship. Rest peacefully my friend.

We have looked at this post a hundred times and just couldnt find the words to express our sorrow. After looking through old photos youve sent, I remember this one in particular. We came out to visit you and Cynthia the summer before and promised wed come back with everyone the following year...we always regretted we didnt make it back.
Now this serves as a source of comfort knowing the love and happiness you found with your wife Cynthia, in what would be your final years.
Rest in peace our dear friend.

We've been friends for 46 years, and then you go and die on my 67th birthday. You always had to get the last laugh didn't you, buddy-boy. I'll miss our phone conversations with the laughs more than anyone could know. I'll be looking for you in all of the familiar places...Lake Tahoe for one. Rest in Peace, Shoobie.

30 plus years of memories as a friend, boyfriend and husband. The lasting one of those was always the friendship. I will miss his wisdom and guidance. There is an empty spot in my heart.
