Just good luck to have met when we were about 7 years old (1952?). Grew up together and you were like a brother and the Olson's like a second family. The ways in which you enriched my life cannot be described. Alice shares the loss. I think of you everyday and remember more than anything how simple and pleasant was your smile. You asked nothing, and gave all.
Special person, you are.

It is hard to condense the feelings and memories given to me by Bob. What I will remember most, besides his extraordinary musical talent, is his ever present smile. Straight ahead, tell it like it is, don't complain - always supportive. I will miss him. I worked with him during the late 60's and early 70's when he was reading gas/electric meters to make ends meet for his family. He had the ability to keep two separate rhythms going - intricate base lines and equally interesting and disassociated lead and chord patterns in the right hand. He literally could hold two different musical patterns in his head and hands at the same time. His time playing piano bar was a time to pay the bills and keep his chops up - but he was much more than that. I will miss him and the gifts he gave to those who knew him and heard him.

My husband and I listened to Bob play at Ikaros restaurant in Aurora, CO for years before we moved to South Carolina in 2005. I was just this month (Sept-20017) back for a visit and had dinner at The Perfect Landing restaurant at Centennial Airport where I knew he had been playing for the last several years. I was so looking forward to hearing him play and wondered if he would play "Don't cry For Me Argentina" when he saw me come in like he always used to. I was just crushed to learn he had just this month died of kidney cancer. My prayers are with his family. I know he'll be entertaining the Father and the angels in heaven. --Brenda Justice

Bob was a high school friend and we always made a point to visit him at the Perfect Landing when we came back for a Denver visit. We loved him and we will miss him.
