I had the pleasure of knowing Sean thru School District 27J's Transportation Department. He will always be in our thoughts and prayers. His life so short , but filled with great happiness from such a wonderful family. Words are never enough. He will be missed.

Sean was one of the kids I rode the school bus with every day. Our driver told me this morning that he had passed away during the holiday break. I was saddened to hear of this and my family and I want to express our sympathy to his parents, friends and other family members

I am saddened by the news of Sean's death. I have so many fond memories of Sean and the amazing boy that he was! I used to look forward to his bright smile every morning when I worked at Laradon. Our classroom staff did the Autism walk in 2002....our team name was "Suckers For Sean." We were all suckers for him. He warmed each of our hearts with his antics, his large smile, and his meticulous personality. One memory especially comes to mind. We all got a big kick out of Sean when he would put his hands in his pockets and say "cool pockets Sean." I smile largely as I write this. He was such a happy soul! My fondest memory is when he would read Corduroy verbatim.....one of the TA's Deb bought this book for me and my children in honor of the many times Sean and I read this together. I enjoy reading it to both of my kids to this day, reading as if Sean were reading it.
Sean was a remarkable person because of the incredible love and support that he received from such a loving family. I enjoyed seeing the bond between Sean and each of you. I remember how his face would light up when Julie, Mike, Nicholas or Erin walked in to the classroom. Sean's shining personality was a product of your laid back, nurturing family. My heart breaks for you and your loss. May you find peace and strength in knowing the love and happiness that Sean brought to so many. He will be deeply missed. My memories of Sean will live forever. Especially when I open Corduroy and begin, "Corduroy was bear...."
Bless you and your family.
Much Love, Holly Miller-McLane

I worked in a classroom next to Sean's, a few years ago, and often heard his morning mantra, "Come in, Sean. Come in, Sean." I'm sure Sean had no hesitation at the pearly gates of heaven. I know there are no impaired bodies or hampered minds in that beautiful place. May God's comfort come to each of you in this difficult time.

Sincerely,
Wensdae Miller
