Clara Borg Obituary

"Will be Missed"

Clara was a devout member of the LDS Church and served in many callings on the ward and stake levels, and as a honorable temple worker.

I have fond memories of Clara! She always brought a smile to my face and a sweet kindness that she so joyfully possessed. I remember going to visit her at the U of U hospital years ago after she had back surgery. I had a embarrassing situation occur while walking in to see her. I share that with her and we giggled and giggled! Her sense of humor was wonderful!
I know she loved The Lord and had a Testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ! Heaven welcomed an angel and I am grateful I knew and loved her here on earth!
May The Lord bless her sweet husband and Family at this time! My thoughts and prayers are with you!
Love,
Kristy Huber

What a great loss!! A part of my heart has gone to heaven with her! She was a wonderful person and always had a smile and a laugh in her heart for life. She had a infectious sense of humor and always put a smile on my face. She had Gods spirit with her all the time. Jack and her were my families home teachers for awhile, I loved it when they came. I'm sure she is at peace now. I pray for her family to have the peace that they need at this time. I love you Clara and will miss you!!

What will we ever do without "Crazy Clara"? Jack, you have been one of the fortunate few to have lived with an angel. Clara was an angel among us. I just hope she can find someone in her new realm to go toilet papering with. There is a hole in all our hearts with her passing. God bless you Jack for sharing her with all of us.

Jack and family,

I was saddened to hear of Clara's passing. I enjoyed my acquaintance with her at Zions Bank when I was assigned to the Murray Office (a trailer) located at 6812 S. State on April Fools Day, 1975. It was there that I learned what a fun loving and sometimes jokester she could be. We had a great time together, building our little branch. I especially remember her telling about her experience at our Broadway Office where she trained three young men to be tellers who were the sons of the banks senior officers, including Harris Simmons who is currently CEO of the corporation.

Just looking at her picture brings a smile to my face. She's a great lady. The family should be very proud to have had her in your lives.

She was one of the best Grandma's a child could ask for! There was always plenty of love at our Grandparents home, we'd have big sleepovers and I remember running around with all of my cousins and sliding down the stairs on makeshift sleds. I remember spending a lot of time at her home, and if she had one of her famous fires going in the fireplace you better watch out because it would be hot in the house! I remember drinking Tab from her amber colored drinking glasses and listening to her tell me fun and exciting stories that would make any young girls imagination wander free. There were always big Christmas parties with piñatas full of candy and fun and exciting games.

I'll never forget the time she took me to Liberty park and I was wading in the stream and sliced my heal wide open, I think that's the only time I heard her curse and I remember her saying "your Mom isn't going to be happy about this" but after 16 stitches I was good as new. I could sit here and tell a hundred stories of my childhood adventures with Grandma.

I'm so blessed she was a part of my life and helped to shape and mold me into the woman I have become. She loved me for who I am and always encouraged me to be true to myself. I can see part of her in myself, the wit and little bit of ornery. I'm going to miss her, but it brings me comfort to know she's in a better place surrounded by loved ones. I'll always be her “laser beam”.
