Lesley Brown Obituary

Lesley Allen Brown

1945 - 2024

- Lesley Allen Brown, 79, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2024. Lesley was born on November 3rd, 1945 in Salt Lake City to Louis and Jayne Allen.

Lesley is survived by her 3 sons Geoff Brown (Jessika Brown), Jake Brown (Becky Brown), and Jordan Brown (Kayla Brown). Her 2 sisters: Lanny Bernard and Kerry Hawthorne. Her 7 grandchildren: Britton Brown, Madeline Brown, Amalie Brown, Nicholson Brown, Samual Brown, Roman Brown, and Isabelle Brown.

In life Lesley was a creative and artistic woman who was devoted to her 3 sons and her husband Craig. Lesley spent most of her time raising her 3 sons and expressing her love for fashion by working part time at the Chalk Garden with her sisters Kerry and Lanny. She and her sisters turned the Chalk Garden into a festive party like atmosphere where people loved to work and shop. Later she and her sister Kerry represented other fashion lines like Carlisle and Julianna locally.

Anyone who knew Lesley knew that she was the life of the party. She loved to laugh and was constantly joking especially around her beloved sisters. We will miss her fun-loving attitude toward life.

Lesley died at the age of 79 due to complications with the terrible disease of dementia. Even in the later stages of her disease she would try to joke around and laugh with anyone visiting her. We know she is alive in the next life and reunited with Craig and many of her loved ones who have passed on. We will miss her love, enthusiasm for life, and sense of humor. We love you Mom.

There will be a celebration of Lesley's life at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary (4760 S State St) on Friday, January 3rd, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and a graveside service for family on Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at Mountain View Memorial Cemetery (3115 Bengal Blvd) at 11:00 am. I missed the boat in knowing the passing of my friend and past neighbor. Lesley had a way making of making decor, fashion look good. Loved her visits by living next door. For example, Lesley would be working in the yard in her fashionable clothing and jewelry and I was the total opposite, Levi´s and a t-shirt. I remember when Lesley came over and wanted to know which way a tulip bulb was to be planted. ( the point up or point down ) I told
her which way and she
sighed and realized she
planted pointed side down. But I assured her that they would find their up. I will cherish our friendship.

Loved that girl...her laugh, her wit, her sarcasm, her style! I was in Palmer´s in 1967 when she told Mary Bernard to hire me. Best gig ever. She and Craig were a perfect love match!
