Mary Ann Pedersen, age 84, affectionately known as "Anya" to her grand and great grandchildren, passed peacefully away with family members at her bedside, on Saturday, June 6, 2020.
Mary Ann was born February 15, 1936 in El Paso, Texas to Louis George Hunter and Bobbie Clary. She was the second of five children.
She married Gaylen Pedersen in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on September 13, 1957. She was the mother of Mark Pedersen (Kellie), Gordon Pedersen (Julia), Gaylynn Belliston (Russell), Eric Pedersen (Stephanie), Scott Pedersen (Kristiane), Julie Karlinsey (Troy), and Dale Pedersen (Kim). She has 39 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents, three siblings, son Scott, and grandson Daniel.
A public viewing will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT 84010. Please follow social distancing guidelines. A private funeral services will be held for family on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Interment will be held at Lakeview Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.russonmortuary.com

I just saw that Mary Ann had passed away. I worked with her for years at Bountiful High School and loved this woman. My deepest condolences to her family. Lovely, lovely woman.

Your Mom was always so much fun as a sub, she was always so full of energy and she genuinely cared for everyone, she made it fun, she was who everyone wanted if there was a sub. she was a great lady and she will be missed.

Mary Ann was a second mother to me! Her home was so welcoming no matter the day or hour you were welcomed. Her smile and hugs were the best thing that would happen to you that day! Her home was a safe place for me even after married and had kids!! Its never changed!! she was such a great mother Julie her daughter really has been my best friend for 40+ years. Shes raised great kids and I love each one of them!!! I will be forever grateful that I had her in my life!!! Im truly sad and cant imagine going over to her home and not having her there. Anyone who knows Mary Ann knows how talented she was at painting She painted me a beautiful sunset, beach, ocean painting for my birthday one year. I love it so much it hangs in my home. Im so honored that I have that as a memory of her. I could go on and one about her! I love you Mary Ann I love all of the Pedersons!!! ❤❣

I love her sparkle and the love she gave me. Her enthusiasm for life and people! Cant have too much of Mary Ann. Looking forward to eternity with her!
