Reba Cook Kitchen, 89, of American Fork, UT, passed away peacefully in her sleep November 13, 2018. She was born September 11, 1929 in Cedar Fort, UT to Barnes Alma Cook and Alice Adeline Southam Cook, the 12th of 13 children. She married Ralph Lenford Kitchen (Lenford) November 10, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. She and Lenford wrote to each other for 13 months as he finished his Eastern Canadian LDS mission.She was proud of her heritage and had fond memories of growing up in Cedar Fort, UT. Her parent's home was often a cross roads for visiting family and friends, and so her and Lenford's home also became a welcome place to visit. She loved to dance in the Old Cedar Fort Church gymnasium. She played on the basketball team and was a class officer at Lehi High School. Reba served in multiple capacities in the Primary and Relief Society. She had a big heart and was a great example of not judging others and taught her family by example. She was a wonderful cook. A special thanks to our sister, Laurie Knight, for her tireless care of our parents over the past several years. She dedicated her life to making theirs more comfortable. Reba is survived by her sweet husband of 70 years, Lenford, and all nine of her children, Linda (Clark Day), Neldon Kitchen, Deana (Dean Gunther), RaNae Moore, Nyle Kitchen, Dale (Laura) Kitchen, Dean (Shiree) Kitchen, Gerald (Cami) Kitchen, and Laurie Knight. She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and 12 siblings. A viewing will be held in her honor Nov. 16, 2018 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints American Fork 1st Ward bldg, 381 S 300 E, American Fork from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be at 11am Nov. 17, 2018 at the church. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 9:30 to 10:30am. Interment will be at the American Fork Cemetery.
