Robert Frampton The Last Ride

Robert Frampton Obituary

Robert Frampton The Last Ride After spending a very peaceful evening with family, joking.. laughing... telling old stories and still giving advise to his family....Our precious Husband, Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, went to sleep and a few hours later passed on to a happier and more healthy hunting ground on June 18, 2009 at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo after a valiant, and courageous three year battle with congestive heart disease.Robert Henry Frampton was born Feb 23 1929 to Henry and Doma Melville Frampton in Fillmore Utah. Dad married the love and sweetheart of his life..Evelyn Whitaker from Kanosh on Feb 23 1947. Their marriage was later sealed for time and eternity in the Manti Temple March 12, 1963. They have three children, Diane married to Dwight Memmott, Steve married to Joyce Hinton and Terri married to Leavitt Penney and now Matt Hoover. Dad enjoyed 61 years of being around his posterity and as he called them "his dividends" He has nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter on the way. Being with mom, raising his children and being around family, had always been the joy of his life. Our memories of him will go on forever. We'll think of him every time we ride in the mountains...or whenever we see his initials carved into an Aspen tree. We'll hear his voice giving advise to his family to help us in time of need. We'll always remember his great sense of humor and the respect he showed to everyone. He was a hard worker, at times holding down three jobs to make sure his family never went without...He'd go without before letting mom or his family go without. We will miss him very much. Dad was active in the East Millard Riding Club, serving as President for a time. He was awarded "Driver of the Year "by Wycoff with over a million miles of driving with no accidents. Dad was Commander for a time of the East Millard County Sheriffs Posse. He lead many search and rescue missions leading to recovery of lost or injured persons. He loved fishing.. riding horses, farming endless hours with his son Steve and daughters Terri and Diane, four- wheeling and anything to do with the outdoors. He always had a story to tell. He was preceded in death by parents Henry and Doma; brothers Thad and Earl; brother-in-law Viron Penney and a great granddaughter Mistie Bingham. He is survived by his loving wife Evelyn, Daughter's Diane (Dwight) Memmott Terri (Matt) Hoover and son Steve (Joyce) Frampton and nine grand and 17 great grand children, and one great-great grandchild on the way. The family would like to thank all doctors and medical staff who helped comfort and tend to his medical issues since his heart surgery three years ago. Your compassion and friendship was most appreciated Thank you!!! Services will be provided by Rasmussen Mortuary and will be held at the Fillmore Utah Stake Center 300 West Center street. Viewing Sunday June 21 7-9 p.m. and Monday June 22 10:30-11:30 am with services at 12:00 noon. Dad will have his last ride with a horse drawn carriage to the Fillmore cemetery as his final "Home on the Range"resting place. Online condolences at rasmussenmortuary.com

Frampton Family,

Our condolences go to each of you at this time. Thank you for the memories, Robert taught me all I knew about the Jeep Posse. He was a great friend and mentor.
Remember the memories and prepare for that time when you can see him again!
