SHERRIE TANNER Obituary

Sherrie Ann Tanner 1952 ~ 2009 Sherrie Ann Tanner, age 57, passed away on November 14, 2009 in Lafayette, Louisiana. Her brother Lee (Skip) Tanner and her sister-in-law Lea Tanner were with her. Sherrie was born in Salt Lake City to Betty Bernice Blackburn Tanner and Harold Lee Tanner Sr. on September 27, 1952. Her brother, Paul Leslie Tanner, mother and father have preceded her in death and are waiting in heaven to greet her. In 2006 Sherrie moved to Louisiana to be with her brother and his wife. She loved having her own home and her "stuff" around her. She was able to take in the sights using a cherry red electric scooter chair. Her care givers loved her and referred to her as "Miss Sherrie" which delighted her. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy Utah. Visitations will be held one hour prior to graveside service at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences www.larkincares.com

I am sorry to hear of Sherrie's passing. I know Aunt Betty and Uncle Harold are there waiting for her along with her brother Paul. I can remember Sherrie from the time she was a pretty little girl with blonde ringlets in her hair and pretty dresses. During the past several years every time we'd see Sherrie, (usually I was with my mother, Margaret Tanner) she was always pleasant and happy to see us. May the Lord's choicest blessings be with Sherrie. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May the Lord bless you, Skip and Lea, for your kind, loving care of Sherrie this past few years. Love to you, your cousin, Kathie Tanner Abbott
