I had a dream last night and Nels was in it. Although I don’t remember most of the dream I do remember It made me smile and Nels was good at doing that . With his wry wit he was always able to perk up my day with a good story. Barstownians owe Nels much indebtedness for all his civic activism and contributions. The town should be renamed Larsonville. RIP Nels and I’m sure I will see you in another dream to once again see your smile.

We knew Nels as parents of little leaguers. His son Roger and our son Jake played on the same team. Our condolences go out to the family. May God hold you up in your time of loss.

Nels and I have been best friends since before we started the Clarinet class with Mr. Coe at Cameron School. We have had a lot of good times together and he was with me as I was going through some tough emotional times. You couldn't ask for a more kind, fair, and gentle person. I know we all will miss him very much. Thanks for being with him Geri. Rest in Peace Nels.

Nels and I go way back and I cherish the memories we shared together. He was the person who advised me in Optometry School and eventually asked me to work with him in Barstow. Coming to work everyday with Nels was a joy and pleasure. I could always count on the sly smile and dry humor to pick me up and get me going.I will miss him dearly as a colleague and most of all as a dear friend who touched my life in such an endearing way.Thank you Nels and GO BEARS.
