Helen E. Day, passed away, Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Helen is survived by her three children; Debra Day, Bonnie (Jack) Tharp, Terry (Judy) Day; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Phyllis Stump and Betty Downard; one sister-in-law, Helen McKnight and many nieces and nephews.

Helen owned and operated a rental store in Ames with her husband, Buford, for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Buford; her parents, and five brothers.

Funeral services will be at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola, Wednesday March 16, 2016 at 10:00 am. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Kale Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bondurant Community Library
