I last saw Jean at Chuck's in July-with her radiant smile & dressed to the nines, arriving fashionably late-as always. I'm so very saddened to learn of her passing & wish to extend my sincere sympathy to her daughter & especially her beautiful granddaughter. True to tradition, Jean was on her feet & dancing to the last song of the night, despite her aches & pains & hip surgeries. Jean lit up a room when she arrived & was friendly to everyone, kind, caring & generous. I will miss you badly, my "Gemini twin", but I will recall fondly our conversations about iconic places & people in dsm, your Equitable days, your days at Babe's, your Melcher-Dallas days, your dancing days & life in general. You were a tiny, glitzey lady, but you will leave a very large void.

I saw Jean at Chuck's in July-her usual radiant self, dressed to the nines & arriving fashionably late. True to tradition, she danced to the final song of the nite. She was always friendly, kind, generous, glitzey & dancing-despite her aches n pains from hip surgeries. My condolences to her daughter & especially her beautiful granddaughter from Florida-she loved you both so very much. I will miss you badly Jean, but remember fondly our conversations about DSM iconic places & people & your Equitable days, your Babe's days, your Melcher-Dallas days, your dancing days & life in general. I will miss you badly, but remember you fondly "my Gemini twin"-each year our birthdays roll around & many many days in between. It just won't be the same at Chuck's with out you, classy lady...

A great conversationalist who knew the old Des Moines. Always accomodating, exceptionally courteous and interesting to listen to. Lived life to it's fullest.
