Joseph N. Pegram, 83, passed away at the Taylor House in Des Moines, Iowa on June 9, 2014. Joe retired from Lennox Heating and Cooling in 1996, and was a lifelong farmer. Joe thoroughly enjoyed sports of all kinds and had many great memories of ALL his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, as well as many of his nieces and nephews school events.

Joe is survived by his wife, Donna of Carlisle; son Ben (Karla) Pegram of Pleasant Hill; Daughter in Law, Ina Pegram of Taylors, South Carolina; son Dan (Suzanne) Pegram of Des Moines; Daughter Helen (Ron) Burkhart of Des Moines; 19 grandchildren and 24 great- grandchildren. Joe was preceded in death by his parents; son Dennis Pegram; brothers Gene and Rex Pegram and his sister Eileen Smith. Funeral Services for Joe will be Saturday June 14, 2014 at the Altoona Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 9-11:00 a.m. prior to services at the church. Memorials for Joe can be made to the Altoona Baptist Church in Altoona, Iowa. Online condolences can be made at www.petersonfuneralservice.com
