Katherine Mitchell Obituary

Katherine "Kate" Elizabeth Mitchell was born at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City on Friday, September 28, at 6:01 p.m. Kate was born with a very rare brain aneurysm that required immediate surgery and resulted in multiple medical complications. After a short 26 hours of life she passed peacefully in the arms of her parents.
She is survived by her parents Matthew and Betsy Mitchell as well as her two older brothers, Carter James and Benjamin Robert Mitchell.
A drop-in visitation for the family will be held on the Drake University campus on Friday, October 5, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Collier Reading Room of the Cowles Library. A formal service will be held in Naples, FL on Saturday, October 13.

I am very sorry for your loss. My little boy, Gavin LeRoy was born and passed on September 13, 2012 from Trisomy 18. Below is a poem that helped me. Please know that you are not alone, and that our babies are playing together in a better place.

I am VERY sorry to read about the passing of your baby angel Kate. She is Heaven's newest angel and you will see her again someday.
