Lowell Eugene Shuey, 67, was born October 24, 1945 and passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center.

Lowell was an Army Veteran and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired as a Machinist from Delavan Manufacturing after 25 years of service.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Roberta Shuey; five sisters; Roberta's brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Clarence and Molly Shuey; one brother and his parents-in-law, Dale and Ruth Reser.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 2, 2013 at Crossroads Community Church, 410 SE Main in Grimes. The family will greet friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Private inurnment will take place at a later date at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
