Melody Hoffman Obituary
Madrid - Melody L. Hoffman, 62, passed away December 15, 2018. She was born August 13, 1956, in Des Moines, to Roger and June Davis.
Melody was a Saydel High School graduate and worked in data entry for many years. She married Dan Hoffman on March 12, 1995.
Melody's greatest joy came from time spent with her family. She was beyond proud of her children and grandchildren and always said her favorite job was being a grandma.
Melody will be remembered for her intelligence with numbers, her fun-loving spirit, and kind hearted personality. She loved helping others and knew no strangers.
In her spare time she enjoyed playing card games that her father taught her, fishing, bowling, karaoke, watching March Madness, and Saturday night BINGO. She also enjoyed music, especially oldies, watching musicals, and following along with her Lifetime shows and Hallmark movies.
Melody is survived by her mother, June Davis; sister, Alesa Davis; husband, Dan; children, Tony (Lacey) Ortiz, Tiffany Ortiz, and Dallas Hoffman; grandchildren, Landon, Dylan, and Lyric; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger Davis; sister, April Estes, and grandmother, Alice Crabtree.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Wednesday evening, December 19th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Melody.

She was my grandma and she was always spoiling me and half my child hood was spent at her house and if anyone wanted to find me on the weekends I was at her place.
