CARMEN STONE Obituary

of Novi; June 19, 2003. Age 56; beloved daughter of Clare B. and the late Victoria Stone; dear sister of Marie and Bruce: aunt of Wendy and Wesley. Mrs. Stone was preceded in death by her mother, Victoria Hermoyian and is survived by her sister and brother. Carmen was an avid cook and fervent pet lover, devoting much of her life and free time to the care of rescue animals. She was especially devoted to her beloved dogs. Carmen's professional career included administrative work prior to becoming a nurse. She worked at Henry Ford Hospital for several years before discovering that her true love was in psychiatric nursing. She retired recently, after nearly 27 years of nursing at the Northville Regional Psychiatric Hospital. A Celebration of Carmen's Life will take place Tuesday, June 24, 2003, 1:30 p.m. at The Clarkston Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5464 Waterford Rd., Clarkston. The family will receive visitors at the Donelson, Johns and Evans Funeral HOme, 5391 Highland Rd., Waterford on Sunday and Monday 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. both days. Interment will follow at Ottawa Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Michigan Humane Society, International Fund for Animal Welfare, People for Ethical Treatment of Animals or Critter Connection. Envelopes available at the funeral home.
