HERBERT V. BOOK Jr.

Of Grosse Pointe died July 2, 2008, age 86. He was buried in Roseland Park Cemetery, July 3rd, with a private family service. A memorial service will be held September 27, 2008, 12 p.m. at Grosse Pointe Memorial church. He is survived by his loving wife, Sheila, four children: Clotilde Palmerlee, Herbert Book, Debra Barrows, Robert Book; four grandchildren Mark and Dara Plamerlee, Matthew and Larson Book; four stepchildren F.J. Robinson, III, Sheila Henken, Bailey Stenson, Merrill Peterson; nine step grandchildren; and one great-step-grandchild. He was stationed in France in WWII as a Captain in the Army Air Core piloting C-47 aircraft. He was a gentleman and a gentle person with a variety of interests including photography, birding, the study and collection of rocks and minerals.
