Karl Reibel Obituary

REIBEL

KARL died peacefully in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico on December 13 after living most of his life in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. Karl was born on January 27, 1931 in Terre Haute, Indiana to his parents, Sidney and Bessie Reibel. He graduated from Wayne State University with degrees in Business and Law. Karl was a practicing CPA and attorney up until his time of death. He married Louise Buckingham in 1967. They lived in Royal Oak, Troy, and Bloomfield Hills, Michigan until Louise's death in 2001. They also had a winter residence in Naples, Florida. Karl moved from Michigan to New Mexico in 2016 to be near his daughter, Marsha. Karl had a passion for golf and card games, particularly Bridge. He became very accomplished in both - winning the club championship for golf at Atlas Valley Country Club and becoming a Bridge Grand Life Master. He was also a big fan of all Detroit professional sports teams and an avid reader. Karl is survived by his daughter, Marsha (Peter) Plitteris, his son, Chris (Peggy) Buckingham, two grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Karl will be buried in a private ceremony on December 16, 2016. On that day, a memorial service will take place at Nie Family Funeral Home, Carpenter Chapel, Ann Arbor, MI at 11:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Karl's life.
