Agnes Barbolla Obituary

Agnes "Nachita" Barbolla, 86, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was retired from the Fort Worth ISD. Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at All Saints Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary: 6 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, it was her desire that donations be made in memory of her to the Humane Society on East Lancaster, where she adopted her last few puppies. When they came to her home, they became family. Agnes was born Oct. 3, 1927, in Fort Worth to Florencio and Luz Maldonado. "Nachita" was a most loving and respected wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, mother-in-law and friend. She respected her family's privacy, but was always there when needed. To know her was to love her. Although she was a small lady, she was strong. She had an air of sophistication and regal about her, which wasn't an act, it was just her. Family and friends could talk to her and trust that it would be held in confidence and you never heard her say anything negative about anyone. Agnes was held very highly by her family and friends and will be dearly missed. The family will take comfort in knowing that God has another special angel that will be there with open arms to bring us all home when it is our time. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Richard Anthony Barbolla; her parents; and brother, Louis Barron. Survivors: Husband, Joe Barbolla; children, Mary Lou Ruiz and husband, Bob, George Barbolla and wife, Darlene; grandsons, Richard Barbolla and wife, Esther, Eric Ruiz and wife, Danielle; great-grandchildren, Tristan, Richard and Viviana Barbolla, Erica Ruiz; and great-great-granddaughter, Audrie Barbolla.

Joe, we are so very sorry for your loss. We had not heard anything about this. I just happen to be looking for another obituary on Mount Olivet's web site, and recognized the picture. Her obituary sure does speak the truth about her. So many wonderful memories to cherish. May God be with you and your family.

To my life long friends/family; Lucha, George, Bob, "Lefty", Ricky and the entire Barbolla family, my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother! I'll always remember her friendly smile as she drove by my house on Denver waving as she drove on the way to the store or wherever she was headed. She always had a smile on her lovely face! May each of you always carry the wonderful memory of your mother's strength and genuine love for each of you through your children, your grandchildren, great grandchildren and so on so that, what Doña Nachita taught through that love, will always remain with each of you forever! I also wish to thank her for having shared her children with the rest of us & for always welcoming us all as friends and family! Que Dios les bendiga! Con todo mi cariño y respeto!
