Ashlee Ranelle Obituary

Ashlee Nicole Ranelle

June 15, 1973 - January 29, 2025

Murreita, California - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ashlee Nicole Ranelle, 51, on January 29, 2025, after a brief illness. Ashlee was a bright light to those who knew her; she was kind, funny, artistic, stylish, and a huge animal lover.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at noon on Thursday, February 13, in Greenwood's Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107; followed by a reception in the Live Oak Room. Burial will be private. Livestream of service will be available day of service on Greenwood Funeral Home's website.

Ashlee was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended Trinity Valley School, Fort Worth Country Day, and Paschal High School (class of 1991). During childhood, Ashlee developed a love for horses as an equestrian rider. She was a graceful and excellent rider and won many trophies in the Hunter Jumper class in Texas. Ashlee's love for

animals was not limited to horses. Many pets were adopted into the family through Ashlee. Ashlee also loved skiing and art. She became a skilled skier during countless family vacations in the Colorado mountains.

She was a Steeplechase debutante in 1993. Ashlee received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Christian University (class of 1997). After graduation, Ashlee moved to Denver and attended school to become a physical therapist and massage therapist. She helped countless people regain strength and mobility through her services. She had a great group of friends in Denver and loved her years living there.

In 2014, with the desire to live in a warmer climate, Ashlee moved to California, where she currently lived. Here, she further developed her artistic skills and created a business refinishing and painting furniture. Her pieces were lovely works of art, and her attention to detail expressed her love of life.

She loved her dogs, Sammy and Kona, more than anything and they gave her great joy and companionship. Ashlee's friends kept her busy and active, and she frequently documented their fun adventures on Facebook. The love and support of her friends meant the world to her.

Ashlee was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. Hugo and Lee Ranelle and Charles and Mary Ann Alcorn.

She is survived by her parents, Dr. Brian and Lynn Ranelle; brother, Brantley Ranelle his wife, Shanda and their children, Connor and Blake; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Donations in Ashlee's memory can be made to the ASPCA, a local animal rescue, or charity of choice.
