ARLINGTON - Leanne Beth Kane, 57, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024.
Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Greenwood Memorial Park.
Leanne was born October 18, 1966, in Fort Worth to Anne Marie Ploeg Kane and Paul Ernest Kane. She graduated from Trinity Valley School and went on to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Interior Design from Texas Tech University. Her professional career was spent working as an interior designer for several different furniture dealerships with the longest history being with bauhaus interiors group (now wilsonbauhaus interiors).
She enjoyed DIY projects in her house, watching HGTV for inspiration, as well as countless trips to East Texas shopping and finding treasures at the First Monday Trade Days in Canton. Leanne also enjoyed traveling - not only with her parents, but also with her nieces where she traveled to England, France, Switzerland, Belgium, and The Netherlands.
Perhaps her favorite passion was her art. She loved to create everyday experimenting with coloring, alcohol-inks, watercolors, and acrylics.
After a valiant fight, she died of stage IV colon cancer after first being diagnosed in 2019.
Leanne was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.
She is survived by siblings, Donna Kane Clark (and husband, Michael), Gordon Douglas Kane (and partner, Lori Lagasse); aunt, Mrs. Howard Kane; many Kane and Matthews cousins, as well as nephew and nieces, William Tyler Park, Paige Marie Park, and Sarah Catherine Park; and of course her beloved cat, Costello.
