I've known Brent since elementary school and my husband, Roger & I both graduated w/him from South. We were so happy to see him at our 20 yr. reunion. He was bragging on his family, his wife, children and GRANDCHILDREN!!! We could tell he had a very happy & full life. No one deserved it more. I'm thankful I was able to tell him how much I thought of him all these years, and that he was always just the sweetest guy. The picture is from our reunion of my husband, Roger w/Brent. We joked about them being the "baldy twins". We'll cherish it always. The good Lord has picked another beautiful flower for his bouquet, and we pray you find comfort in your precious memories of him. God bless you all.

To the entire Nash family,

You are in my prayers.

I knew Brent in high school. We played soccer together and we use to hang out quite a bit. He was such a great guy back then that I know he blessed many lives. Keep your heads up and faith strong knowing that you will see him again sitting beside his Heavenly Father.

Peace be with you,
Tom (Tommy) Hammon

Gloria and Amanda,

The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth,
neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is unsearchable.

He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might he increases strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.

But those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles.

They shall run and not be weary.

They shall walk and not faint.

Saturday morning heaven rejoiced because another angel entered heaven.

Brent was a wonderful husband, father, son and friend. We are truly blessed to have had him in our lives. We will miss so many things about him and yet he left us with so much.

The Lord will wrap you in his arms and lift your spirit to help you through these difficult times. My prayers are with you.

I played with Brent on a youth soccer team for a couple of years when we played for the Shark's. Many, many years ago. He always had that grin on his face like something great was about to happen. Usually a game winning goal. You couldn't help but smile back. I'll always remember these moments. I pray for his family and trust that God's plan is in progress, always.

For the entire Nash family, mother, sisters and brothers...you are in our prayers. Brent was a very kind man, with a pleasant look in his eye. It was easy to see that he had a good soul, and that comes from family.

Gloria, cherish the memories you have! Your life together had a purpose and a love that only married people know. He is at peace and somehow, someday that will help console you.

My dear Amanda, you are such a beautiful young lady, inside and out, all because of your Daddy's love. I am so proud of you, continue to live your life the way Brent taught you, raise your children with his love and admiration and you can't go wrong...even if he's a little too far away to call, he'll always be there, just pray!!...and you know we are just a short call away, we love you and want to continue to see you shine.

In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
