I'm continuing to listen to Chuck's CDs and viewing his DVD. My way of keeping his memory alive. From a fellow WSU classmate and graduate. It's hard to accept that it's been 6 years since his passing. Eternal rest grant onto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

I will be forever grateful that I took his Music Appreciation class at UTA in 1990. I was a business major and decided to change majors to music (I play the flute) because of him. He had a fun personality & I enjoyed his class. I graduated in 1993 & he made sure to congratulate me on stage! My parents & I attended many of his guitar concerts and purchased his music. He was such a gifted musician! I had a long 26 year career as an Elementary Music Teacher in the DFW area. My condolences to his family.

Although I am a complete stranger, I offer my belated condolences- Charles was so gracious with me via email and sent me signed copies of his books and dvds, all of which had a profound effect on me and my teaching. His beautiful performances on that dvd is just sublime. Very sad to come across his passing as I was trying to find and order more of his material. To his family, know that your Dad meant something to someone rather far away! God Bless

I just learned of Chuck's passing from a Wayne State University publication. I am so sad to learn of his passing. I had attended WSU at the same time Chuck attended there; we were in the same Music History classes and we both participated in the WSU Choral Union then under the direction of Malcolm Johns. Initially, we were both striving for a bachelor of music degree with a major in theory and composition but then Chuck changed his major to classical guitar performance. I hadn't seen him since sometime in the mid-1970's but we renewed our friendship via the internet. I purchased his CDs and his DVD and would remind him every Christmas that I'm listening to his Christmas CD. Last Christmas we had a particularly fruitful email exchange and I shared digitally scanned pictures of WSU concert programs that we participated in while he shared a digital copy of his career memoirs with me. I can't truly put into words how much I will miss him but my memories will not fade as I listen to his CDs and watch his DVD. Eternal rest grant onto Chuck Postlewate, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
