Danny Haynes Obituary

Danny Ray Haynes, 63, died peacefully at his home on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, after an all-too-short battle with cancer. Funeral: After a private burial service, there will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Ave., Lake Worth. Danny was born Dec. 15, 1949, in Fort Worth, to N.A. "Buck" and Fern "Sis" Winn Haynes. He grew up in the Riverside area and was a 1968 graduate of Carter-Riverside High School. He spent his working career in the injection-molding plastic industry. For the past 15 years, Danny had worked for Lasko Products, most recently as maintenance supervisor. Danny loved both the outdoors and the indoors. Outdoors, he loved fishing with his wife Sue and playing golf with his son Josh. Their time playing golf together was the main inspiration for Josh to pursue a career in the golf business. Danny was extremely proud when Josh completed his training and became a PGA golf professional. Indoors, Danny looked forward to their family trips to Las Vegas where he enjoyed playing blackjack in the casinos. Even at home, it was not unusual for Danny and Sue (sometimes Josh too) to decide on the spur of the moment to drive to the Winstar Casino for a little gaming fun. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, affectionately known simply as Mom and Pop. Survivors: Loving and loyal wife of 39 years, Sue; son, Josh; brother, Terry and his wife, Dani; niece, Paige Lillagore; nephews, Brian and Eric Haynes, all of whom thought he was their cool uncle.
