I did not know Dave personally, but was told of his many heroic acts & heartfelt stories of his life by his blessed brother-in-law Jeff Preston. Susie & Jeff you are in my prayers & thoughts in this very difficult time, but know that Dave is definately flying above us with a smile on his face doing what he loved the most now.

David was my best friend. We met as Army pilots nearly 25 years ago and developed a friendship of a lifetime. He was like a brother to me and our world is a lesser place today without him. David did not have a mean bone in his body, and he always enjoyed helping others. Throughout his short life, David always gave more than he took.

David was a quiet but giving man who would do anything for you. He was always an absolute gentleman, a great person in every regard, and was highly respected by everyone who had the honor of meeting him. He set the example everyone should follow. I really miss David, but he is in a better place now.

Someday David and I will fly again.

I am a childhood friend of David's sisters and had never met him. It was my loss! David's services were in every sense of the word a celebration of his life! Through the testimony of his good friend Bob and brother Paul I found out that he was a hero, a kind good man who did for others. He accomplished so much in his short life! No doubt the gates of heaven were open and waiting for him! God Bless Susie & Shirley for the round the clock care they gave David during his illness! They were his hero's!!

In David's shortened lifetime, he touched the lives of many. His giving nature went beyond those he personally knew. He was an honorable man who could always be counted upon in a time of crisis. He was often quiet with a somewhat wistful smile at times. He loved history, travelling and meeting people. For those of us he met in his journeys, his passing will forever leave a void and a wistful smile.

Dear All, I was so sorry to hear of David's passing. We all have such good memories of childhood times together. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the services, but I will be with you all in spirit, as you all were with us when Momma passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. May God's Blessing be with you to carry you through this time of loss. God surely had his plan for David to have saved those lives in the copter crash, he gave us all good memories to remember him. I know you will miss him in your lives.

Love to all,

Sharon and Clifford Hamrick
