To the family of Mr. Powers,

I had the great pleasure of knowing Mr. Powers through my work with the Carpenters and Millwrights Union as a Representative. He was a wonderful person to say the least. Although he had retired before I started, I met him on several occassions, most recently at Costco where he again brought joy many people. I am sorry I was out of town during this time. He will be missed.

My sympathies to the family.

To David's Family: I met David soon after moving to Fort Worth and found him to be a caring, generous and humorous man. He will be missed both by me personally and by the Party as he was one of our finest Precinct Chairmen.

To David's Family,

David and I worked together for almost 27 years--he was truly a loyal and compassionate friend; David would give the shirt off his back to a needed person; he would pick up a hitch-hiker at any time of the day or night without considering his safety.

May You Rest in Eternal Peace David and may the Lord give strength to all your loved ones.

All I known him by my grandpa! I truley miss him and glad that I was a part of his life. I recalled awhile back how really hip my gpa was. I miss his crazyness of going to cosco just because it had toys you could play and act on. Wow! Seeing grandpa play this hip game where you sing a song on the tv just allowed me to fully understand where I got my goofy and do not care what people think about me; that was from my grandpa. Wish I could of have spent more crazy times but know no matter what he always loved me and I was thanful to have a gpa like him. When my son was born I asked how feel to be a great grandpa, the response was I'm not that or I would be really old and I still have more aging left in me, therefore I'm just grandpa deedaw. Blaine loved his dee daw and looking back he was always on his great grandpas lap. I have spent many great times with my gpa and glad he is not suffering no more. May god continue shining the light on him and alow him to be our angels to look over us. Grandpa your forever missed and your bug will alway love you. Love always justina and blaine!

To David's family:

David and I worked together at the voting precincts, Code Blue, and Scenic Bluff NA. He was so much fun. He always spoke about how much he loved his children and grandchildren. Kathy and I were Carter Riverside Class of '70. I loved them both. God bless you all during this most difficult time.
