June 8, 1962 - September 18, 2023
Fort Worth, Texas - On September 18, 2023, Dirk Thomas, devoted father and servant of the Lord, passed immediately and blamelessly into the loving hands of God. He was 61.
Dirk was born on June 8, 1962 in Brownwood, Texas. He grew up in Fort Worth and went to Southwest High School where he became captain of the basketball team. He graduated from The University of Texas at Arlington and was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. After college, Dirk enjoyed a successful and exciting career in hotel and advertising sales, working for luxury brands, and traveling most of North America.
Dirk leaves behind his beautiful daughter Summer, who was the light of his life, brothers Doug and Darin, hundreds of his Texas Kappa chapter brothers, and thousands of strangers he met along the way.
Celebration of Life will be at St. Peter & St. Paul Anglican Church on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at 1pm. It is located at 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington, TX 76016.

Unfortunately I will be out of the country on the 21st and will miss Dirk´s celebration. I´m sorry that is the case. I met Dirk about 10 years ago and hold him in the highest regard. My one word salute to Dirk is "Genuine"...
He made a big difference for many. Rest in Peace, Brother.

We used to watch "The Midnight Special," eat Doritos and drink Dr. Pepper at his house when in middle school. Our friendship continued through Southwest. I was saddened to hear the news of his passing. May he rest in peace and his memory comfort those he left behind. God bless you, Dirk.
