In Loving Memory of Scott Woodrow Wyss
Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to Scott Woodrow Wyss, our beloved husband, father, and friend, who passed away on October 31, 2025 at the age of 49. Scott lived a life rich with adventure, laughter, and devotion to his family. He was a Patriot, Master Craftsman and Gentleman Outdoor Enthusiast. Born on May 13,1976 in Fort Worth, Texas, Scott inherited a deep appreciation for nature at an early age, while spending time with his grandfather Woody. Scott was never happier than when he was outdoors - rod in hand, sun rising over the water, or hunting deep in the woods listening to the world wake up. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and proud boat captain who found peace and purpose in every cast, every sunset, and every season. He shared his passion freely, teaching his two boys not just about the sport, but about patience and respect for nature.
But beyond his love for the outdoors, Scott's true pride and joy was his family. He was an amazing father - patient, funny, and endlessly devoted. His kids were his world, and he taught them not only how to fish or tie a perfect knot, but how to live with integrity, kindness, and heart. His greatest joy came from time spent with his family, telling stories and laughing on the back porch, or cheering for Reid and Rhett from the sidelines. He loved Elizabeth, his wife of 21 years, with a steady devotion that inspired everyone who knew them. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and adventure. Scott and Elizabeth were college sweethearts and married April 24, 2004.
To know Scott was to love him, his grin that showed up before the punchline, his unsolicited life advice, and his way of making everyone feel like they belonged. He had a gift for stories, a laugh that could fill a room, and a heart full of love. A graduate of Southwest High School and Texas Tech University, he was proud of his Texas heritage and quick to share his love of the Red Raiders any chance he could. Scott was also very active in the Granbury community serving as the Football Booster Club President for the Pirate Touchdown Club for four years. He leaves behind his loving wife, Elizabeth Wyss; his two sons Reid and Rhett Wyss; his parents, Dr Paul and LeeAnn Wyss; his siblings, Michael (Lori) Wyss, Emily (Travis) Wiest, Laura (Justin) Pugh, and Matt (Carissa) Wyss; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Additional Survivors are his in-laws David and Renee Love, brother-in-law, Jason (Katie) Love, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and so many family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Wiley's Funeral Center in Granbury, Texas. A celebration of Scott's life will be held on Saturday, November 8th, at 2pm at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury.

Still in shock. It was always nice to talk to Scott about boats and lake conditions and whatever else. Didn´t talk a lot but I could always reach out to him if I need. RIP Sir.
