Randy Gartman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Wiley Funeral Home - Granbury on Feb. 27, 2026.
Randall Boyd Gartman, 59, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed away on Monday evening, February 23, 2026, in Granbury.

Randy Gartman was born on August 25, 1966, in Dallas, Texas, to Clyde and Mary Gartman.

Randy served honorably six years in the United States Navy as a Hull Maintenance Technician (HT3). A skilled nuclear welder aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, he was based in Guam and traveled the world, visiting the Philippines, Japan, and Australia, among others. Back home, Randy was a man of many interests. He was a gifted musician on both drums and guitar. He was an avid Dallas Stars fan, an insatiable reader, and he had a way with words in his writing. He will be deeply missed for his notable intellect, his humor and quick wit, and for the love he had for his family.

Randy is survived by his father, Clyde Gartman, and his wife Carla; his mother, Mary Richards; brother, Roger Gartman, and wife, Stephanie; his nieces, Rachel Gartman; April Gartman and husband Justin Barch; Joanna Dorion and husband Colton; and his nephew, Jonathan Gartman and fiancé Ashley.

Randy was preceded in death by his nephew, Benjamin Gartman.

Visitation for Randy will be held Monday, March 2, at 1 p.m. at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the same location. Internment will take place on Wednesday, March 11, at 11:15 a.m., at the DFW National Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
