Vandee DeLeon Obituary

Published by Legacy on Feb. 26, 2026.
Vandee Sullivan DeLeon, a beautiful loving Mom, Nana, Sister, and Friend left us suddenly from this life on February 22, 2026. Our family was not ready and we are devastated.

Vandee was born on June 16, 1965, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the long-awaited daughter to William Van (Bill) and Judy Sullivan. She lived in Fort Worth most of her life, and moved to Granbury, Texas to be closer to her son and daughter and grandchildren whom she loved so very much.

Vandee had the sweetest heart. She made you feel instantly safe and loved. She showed up for all of us whenever she saw a need. She was always there. Vandee loved deeply, prayed fiercely, and gave generously. Her faith was very important to her, and we know we will see her again in Heaven. She was so deeply loved. The world feels a little less gentle without her in it. She will be so very missed.

Vandee is survived by her children, Andrew Van DeLeon, his beautiful wife Riley and her most precious daughter Ashley Lauren DeLeon Bell, and her dear husband, Wylie Bell. They gave her the most special blessings of her life, her grandchildren Landyn Kate Bell, Greyson Andrew DeLeon, and Blake Marie DeLeon.

She is also survived by her brother, Guy William Sullivan, and sister, Lori Kathleen Sullivan Green. Niece, Megan Danielle Green (Stephen), and their children Danielle and Harper. Nephew, William Daniel Green (Brittany), and their child Leighton Van.

Vandee has also left her cousin Jodie Bailey (Bill), special friends Chris Byas and Angel DeLeon, Jr. as well as many family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, Brother-in-Law Danny Green, and Cousin Nathaniel Ryan Bailey.

The family will have a private memorial for Vandee. We ask that if you would like to give a tribute in lieu of flowers, Vandee was so proud of her son Andrew being a Fort Worth Firefighter, she would love to have any donations to be forwarded to the Fort Worth 440 Firefighter Charities.
