Eric Forrester Obituary
Forrester, who was also active in Boy Scouts, was scheduled to graduate this spring, friends said.
Classmates called Forrester a loyal friend.. Adam Sears, captain of the swim team, described him as a "great friend and teammate."
Friends said he was a strong swimmer, competing in the relay, butterfly and backstroke.
Arrangements are pending.

Dear Forrester Family,
Words just can't express the sorrow we feel at the tragic death of Eric. He was such a wonderful young man. My girls were in classes with Eric throughout the years at Wedgwood and Southwest and it was through them that I knew Eric. We will never forget your son. God Bless You All.

I remember Eric as a toddler, jumping on your couch and so very smiley. Such a happy little guy. You have our deepest sympathy. The funeral was so touching - Sean's eulogy was so profound. It is my understanding that the 3 siblings put together the entire program and they all did a wonderful job. We love you and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

My heart goes out to you and your whole family. Somehow I got the impression on the two occasions that I saw Eric with you, that Eric was older than he was. From the comments and the testimonials, I gather that he is an "old soul" and accomplished and lived much more than the average 17 year old. I know that you will always have a very close and special bond with your brother. It was apparent to me even from a distance. My prayers are with you Eric, Sean, and Nikki.

I did not know Eric. However, I was deeply inspired by his life and saddened by his untimely, unnecessary and utterly tragic death. My heart goes out to his family as my praises are lifted up to God, who sustains us in our most trying times. May Eric's life continue to be a blessing to all who knew him as well as to those who did not have the privilege of being in his presence. Eric is now in the presence of his Lord.

No words can express my deepest sympathy or condolences to you. This tragedy has the SW FTW community outraged in grief. My children attend SWHS, I am a Class of '92 Alumni. They did not know Eric personally, but all the same they didn't have to know him personally to know he was a wonderful human being. He gave hope that there were still "good guys" around,& an example of what my girls were to look for in a "boyfriend." We pray God's love, peace, & comfort surround your minds & hearts. I am very sorry for your tragic loss. I did not have the privledge of knowing Eric, but in what I have read and heard and he was an extraordinary young man who had a lot going for him. To his parents, I would like to say that you should be proud of him, and yourself for doing an outstanding job in raising him and teaching him values.
It is unfortunate that the individuals who took his life, were not taught the same.

I am sorry for your loss and as one of Eric's merit badge instructors I feel deeply saddened for his loss and the loss of a fellow Scout. I can not imagine the pain you feel and wish that I could attend the memorial service tomorrow. Since I can not a few scouts at my school and I are wearing our full class A with a black arm band in remeberance of Eric and the family.
I beleive Eric fulfilled Baden Powell's (founder of scouts in america) final wishes by "leaving this world a little bit better than you found it".

I hear about murders and killings every day but for some reason this one just hit me like a brick. Im an LDS teen and perhaps it hit me so hard because he planned on serving a mission. Honestley i couldn't tell you. But i just wanted to let his family know that although he has passed he is still having a profound effect on me ,and i didin't even know him, but it feels like i did or should have. Today many youth from my ward fasted for Eric's family and friends and we continue to pray that you will be comforted. The few years you will be without Eric will be but a small moment when you think about the Eternitys. I'm sure He will preach the Gospel in the spirit world and continue to have a profound impact on others.

I didn't know Eric but I went to Southwest with Sean. I would see Sean in the halls and I would hear stories about him through friends and I was always so impressed with his character. I remember thinking that he must come from a great family to have instilled so much confidence and spiritual obedience in him. I'm so sorry to hear of such a horrible tragedy happening to such a great family. From what I have read about Eric he had the same values that Sean had and I'm sure that without even knowing it, he had people in the halls who watched with envy as he walked faithfully with God.

I never knew Eric or his family personally, but as an alumni of SHS (Class of 1986), I have friends who knew his uncle Chris and aunt Jennifer. When I heard the news, I was just really stunned and saddened that Eric was taken at such a young age. I wasn't acquainted with Eric or his family. I heard about this sad story on the news. This is such a senseless tragedy and happened to a seemingly wonderful young man who had a promising future. This breaks my heart!!! I never met Eric or his family but as a mother of a teen girls 17 & 16 and twin boys ages 2.. I feel the pain of a mother.. May your family find peace and comfort during this difficult time.
