To Briggs Family,
I worked with Ernie at the Miller Field Service Unit from 1992 to 2000, and he always took care of me. Our talks were in the afternoon after almost everyone was gone, and his stories were the best. He reminded me so much of my Dad, I will never forget how much he cared for me and made sure I was safe in my car at nite. I will miss him.......

I have many memories of Ernie, many so vivid it seems like only yesterday. My earliest was a trip to Killeen to help him paint his rent house. We went over to Ft. Hood and watched the tanks roll in from the field, I can still feel the rumble. Speaking of rumble, the nights at the wrestling matches were fun, meeting some of the wrestlers, If I only thought about autographs instead of just being in awe! We trekked down to my grandparents to pick grapes, the proceeds from them was not intented for a teenager, but I managed a little every now and then. Ernie picked me up after school for a fishing lesson every now and then. But the one time I remember most was one late night after a friend and I had been in a fight with some others kids, I showed up on his doorstep. His advice, go home and tell your parents. Well we weren't getting along well, but that night it was some of the best advice I could have gotten. Thanks Ernie...for all the lessons.

Dear Tillie,
Beautifull Lady, you were the light of his life. He is now watching out for you from haven.
He was a wonderful person and a trusted friend. I will miss his good advise and the stories he told.
He was most proud of being the Honor Guard at JFK's inauguration and conversing with the then President's Mother, Rose Kennedy.
You are in my thoughts and in my prayers. Love You.

To the Briggs Family,
I was with Mr. Briggs in his last moments with us here on this earth. I know now that he is dancing in Heaven, with NO PAIN. May the memories you shared together keep him close to your hearts always.

A Special note to Mrs. Briggs. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. I know the Lord is in control, and that He allowed me to be there for you. I hope that my presence that day was enough. Thank you for being a loving wife. And a strong woman of God. I know that Mr. Briggs will be greatly missed. Know that one day you will see him again!
