Cheryl and Kent, as you know, our families were as one. I'm so thankful for such a great childhood - and you guys had starring roles in it. I thought the world of Fred and Idell. They were my second parents. Amazing and special. Both are greatly missed.

Cheryl,

Your Mom would always let me have a cold soda , even if I was a little short and Alice got many an ice cream from her and your dad. She was a friend to all of the NS gang and I'm sure she is looking down on all of us now , checking to see how we turned out. May God bless and guide you and your family as you work your way through her passing.

I remember Idell since I was a child.
She and my mother Frances Valerie Anderson Matheson were friends since childhood. I always thought she was so pretty. I found 2 pictures of Idell, Fred and Cheryl in mother's old photo ablums. May the peace of the Lord be with you.

I remember Mrs. Calhoun from about 45-50 years ago. I lived only a few blocks from Calhoun's Grocery Store and went there quite often. I remember her being in the front of the store and Mr. Calhoun back behind the meat counter, watching his soaps. I always thought Mrs. Calhoun was so pretty. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time of sadness and sorrow.

I immediately recognized your sweet Mother's picture this morning in the newspaper. She was always such a beautiful lady. It brings back so many good memories of growing up and spending time with my grandparents (the Boswell's) who lived at 2316 Gould. Those were great times when my Papa would give me money to go to Calhoun's and I would always buy me a slow poke. Your parents were wonderful people and always made this little girl a happy one. I'll never forget Calhoun's grocery store. Thanks for the memories.
