Jeannie York Obituary

Jeannie Croft York, 45, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Monday at Normandale Baptist Church, 2001 Chapel Creek Blvd., White Settlement. A reception will follow the service at the church. Memorials: Donations may be made to Jeannie's Warriors, in care of Jodie McRay, PayPal account [email protected] Jeannie was born Nov. 3, 1968, to Pilar and Calvin Croft. She loved scuba diving, softball, her family and her other child, Harley. Jeannie was an incredible fighter having fought cancer for the last three years. She was very proud of her children and all of their accomplishments. Jeannie had a beautiful smile that would light up any room and was a ray of sunshine to all who knew and loved her. Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin William Croft and Pilar "Rosie" Byrd. Survivors: Son, Blake York; daughters, Ryan Wester and husband, Randy, Kendall York and her four-legged child, Harley; sister, Dana Vanadore; brothers, Shane Stone, Milton Croft, Floyd Croft and Billy Croft; mother-in-law, Martha York; and father of her children, Robby York.

Jeannie, I've loved you almost all your life. You were 10 when we got together. I don't remember if the Tigers won very many games that year, but we had a lot of fun. We had Dan and Kenneth and Barb, and a whole bunch of girls, but you and Dani were our favorites. I'll always love you.
