John Bradshaw Obituary

Judge John Bradshaw, 82, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Burial: Private at Graceland Cemetery in Jermyn, Texas. Visitation: at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, after the service. In 1972, John was elected to the first of two terms as State District Judge of the 90th Judicial District. From 1986 until his retirement, John served as Senior District Judge, primarily in Tarrant and Dallas counties. In addition, he was assigned as visiting judge, to cover in over 40 Texas counties, presiding over civil, criminal, family and juvenile courts. He was also a credentialed mediator. Another important part of John's life was ranching in Young and Archer counties where his family settled in the early 1870s. He also enjoyed his life-long involvement in the oil business. Survivors: Wife, Elaine; stepdaughter, Holly Hinson; mother-in-law, Lucile Cooper Pettie; and daughters, Carol Bradshaw and Gail Krieger.
