I first met Johnny in 1951, when he married Vera. Vera was my wife's best friend from grade school. We exchanged visitations many times, over the years, and sometimes met at restaurants for dinner. Johnny and I would meet for lunch, sometimes, and discuss our families, or football, or his timber properties, or his wood-carving club, or other things of interest. I am happy to say that my life included my good friend Johnny Hudnall.

My mother and Vera Hudnall were best friends all their lives. The Hudnall daughters would baby sit me and my little sister from time to time when we were kids. I have known and loved the Hudnall family all my life. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the entire Hudnall family at this most difficult time. God Bless.

The entire Hudnall family has been an important part of our family. My mom and Vera were best friends since grade school and their friendship blessed us all. As they grew and shared their lives with each other, their families naturally interacted with one another. Vera, Johnny, Donna, Terri, and Jenni were a natural extention of our family. No matter how much time passed since we saw each other last, I was always greeted with a warm embrace and an easy friendliness that made me feel a part of their family too. Johnny never had an unkind word for anyone. He was always thoughtful, loving, and supportive. He will be missed by all who loved him -- but I am confident he was greeted warmly by the Lord. I like thinking that my mom was also there to greet him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. May you find comfort and peace in your faith and strengthen one another through your love. Sending much love and prayers your way.

I will miss you Daddy. I will miss your wisdom. You never spoke without carefully thinking about what you would say. You raised us so carefully and thoughtfully. I always wanted your approval and never wanted to disappoint you. Now maybe you are watching me raise my family and smiling with approval. I know without a doubt The Lord greeted you with these words "Well done faithful servant". Your life is forever in our hearts.
